Designed around the content that actually comes in
Research, writing and design add up fast for every post, so the template had to remove work instead of adding another step.
Some layouts have no text and some have no images, because not every topic comes with three paragraphs or usable pictures. The result is a small set that covers most cases: two key image layouts, one half-size layout for landscape or low-resolution files, and two newspaper clipping layouts.
The clipping style solves two problems at once
It looks right for a channel about history and current affairs. It also makes the work faster.
Cutting an image out roughly, collage style, is much quicker than making a clean mask. And many of the source images are low resolution even after upscaling, so the halftone effect hides the missing detail.
