The new Nutribook patient app puts the diet a nutritionist writes in Nutribook straight onto the patient’s phone. Patients see the day’s meals, swap foods within the alternatives their nutritionist allowed, build a shopping list and follow their progress between visits.

An app worth a place on the home screen
Nutribook is the most widely used software among dietitians and nutritionists in Italy. The team came to me with a very specific brief: design and build an app that connects patients with their nutritionist and shows them their body measurements and, above all, their diet.
It couldn’t be a bare-bones app made only to give access to a service. It had to earn its place on the phone, next to apps from the biggest brands.
Freedom, inside the nutritionist’s limits
A diet from a nutritionist is more than a few meals and a list of foods. It’s a carefully thought-out plan that comes with a shopping list and, above all, alternatives.
So patients put their diet together day by day and week by week, choosing what suits them, always within what their nutritionist prescribed.
Made for patients who aren’t tech people
Many patients aren’t comfortable with technology, so there are no passwords. They join from an invite sent by Nutribook and sign in with their email and a code by SMS. The diet stays on the phone without a connection, and their changes sync when they’re back online.
